My neighbors in the province (who happen to be relatives of the in-laws) keep on effing buying cars. During the day they park on the street and it's really an eyesore and a hassle. I can't understand why they need so many cars when they actually only need 3-4 at the most for their use plus extra (and these would all fit in their garage).

My in-laws also told me that the cuz of my wife decided to buy a car also (happy for her actually as she worked hard from scratch) but their old house (which is the ancestral house) has no parking so i'm willing to bet their gonna use our garage.

Iyan ang matindi, may garahe,- pero sa kalye ipinaparada....

I seldom do this, except when I am going to use the vehicle in less than an hour, running an errand, or fetching the kids to/from the bus stop.

Or, I am "saving my driveway for my use",- vs. wayward neighbors and their visitors who do not know basic parking courtesy. This is prevalent during their private get-togethers /parties

    > Agree, maselan din ako na ipagamit ang garahe namin sa iba..... Ang labo nga niyan....

    =-=-=-=-=

Pero, paano na lang bro.,- kapag dinalaw ka namin diyan for our sisig sojourn?

Baka sa kabilang kanto na kami makaparada?....

I heard somewhere that in the province, car is a status symbol. Mas lalo na pag owner-type. [emoji14]

My brother is guilty of parking his car on the street because he's just lazy to park inside. He comes in and out kasi. One instance our drunk neighbor (who he hates) hit his car The parts had to be ordered abroad and it was quite pricey. I think our neighbor learned his lesson, not so much my brother.

Okay lang if you have enough for your needs, eh kagaguhan na rin yung dami. They also work nearby so in the morning, labas lang sa kalye yung mga kotse as most of the time they just walk then igagarahe ulit at night.

If you have a large subdivision road, the issue isn't as great. When we still lived at our family home, I would always park inside and would only leave the car outside when i will only be home for a few minutes.

    heaven forbid, but...
ma-sikwatan lang yan ng side mirror, and that's probably the last time owner will park outside.

I think it's ridiculous to use a car as a status symbol if the home doesn't have enough space to park all their cars.

A few blocks away from us, another house has all their cars parked outside until they finally bought the adjacent lot. Wala pang cover or anything though so naka-bilad yung 124 E-class, Volvo S80 and E46 BMW niya (panay second hand though). In another subdivision, there used to be a big house but the owner built it and parked the cars (Porsche, H2, MBs, etc) as if it was a showroom (display na display yung mga kotse when you pass by).

In our case, it's just our two Toyotas when were there for the weekend, but at least we have a covered, tiled and gated garage.

i read another report that he leads the Congress in absences in 2015. Champion talaga.

i really, really hope he loses his next match. That may be the only way people will stop voting for him.

Similar to one of my neighbors --Five cars (or 6 or 7, I'm not entirely sure), but their garage can only fit three. They frequently double park despite the unspoken agreement in our street to park on only one side so they end up leaving very little space for vehicles passing by. Kotse rin naman nila yung magagasgasan, pero hassle.

Not an engineer: why is NAIA still using asphalt on the runways? Why not use concrete? Reports say that section just "peeled off". It's one thing to have potholes on EDSA, but on runways? Delikado.

And the quality of the asphalt is a suspect. Just look at that portion of C5 designated as Truck Lane right after the slex exit. Parang umaalon sa gitna.
