just want to ask something to the medical doctors regarding the dangers of multiple x-ray tests over a short span of time.
last feb 17, my brother was required, for employment purposes, to undergo a couple of x-ray scans. this was to check if he had any "defects" with his spinal column. naturally, two shots were taken, one from the back and one from the side.
the following day, another x-ray was taken of him, this time a frontal one to see if his lungs had any serious spots.
apparently, this last shot has to be repeated this week since his original one had a wrong "angle" according to the radiologist.
now, i'm a bit concerned as to the effects of the radiation primarily on its potential to stimulate the growth of cancer cells. but more important is his concern regarding the all too important danger of going sterile due to successive exposures to x-ray raditation.
does he have anything serious to worry about? is it just normal that another x-ray is necessary due to a wrong angle?
thanks for any comments or inputs!

I don't think that it will endanger your brother. Mainly the reason, most likely than not, for having protective gowns/measures for x-ray technicians is to prevent x-ray's effect on the reproductive system, especially men. Very specific naman yung views/shots taken specifically on chest region. Modern X-ray machines are much safer than the ones used a decade ago.
There might be a very small percentage of risk for developing forms of cancer due to frequent exposure to radiation emission from x-ray but very minimal and even less if protective measures are observed.

some info: http://www.powerattunements.com/x-ray.html
i'm curious as to what kind of employment would be concerned over any spine irregularities.
