meron namatay and yet pinayagan umalis yun driver? ganun ba talaga? personally I don't care how much money ang dala niya sa armored van niya, but since meron namatay dapat ilagay kaagad sa kulungan yun driver...

Professor dragged to death by armored van
By Non Alquitran Updated July 01, 2009 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - A 53-year-old female professor of the Jose Rizal University was dragged to her death yesterday by an armored van while reporting to work in Mandaluyong City.
The victim, Ma. Evelyn Uy, of Upper Sitio Cogeo, Antipolo City was pinned underneath the bumper of the armored van and dragged for at least 10 meters causing her injuries in different parts of the body. She was declared dead on arrival at the Lourdes Hospital.
Senior Inspector Elmer Rey Constantino, Mandaluyong City police traffic chief said Uy was walking at the corner of Shaw Blvd., and Magalona St., in front the SM Hypermart in Barangay Daang Bakal when hit by the armored van owned by the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) at about 10:30 a.m. yesterday.
Quoting witnesses, Constantino claimed that Uy was pinned underneath the van’s bumper and was dragged some 10 meters away before the vehicle came to a stop.
Elements of the Highway Patrol Group and local traffic enforcers flagged down the van (XKC 704) with body number CTK 3704.
The traffic enforcers aided by several bystanders pulled out Uy’s body underneath the van, said Constantino.
The van driver, Jordan Fesarillo, of 6A Peter St., Barangay Baesa, Quezon City left behind his driver’s license and continued with his trip towards Sta. Mesa, in Manila on grounds that he has to deliver his cash cargo.
Constantino said Fesarillo promised to surrender to him anytime today.

Bobo talaga yung mga pulis na yan. And the bank security officers (those employed by the bank themselves, not the owners of security agencies), share the blame, kasi ganun daw talaga yung SOP sa mga ganyang insidente.

Stupid cop! I think he has sh1t for brains!

So sad to hear this kind of news, this is just 2 blocks away from my residence, the police officer handling the case should be relived from the post for letting the driver go. There was a dead person and yet he let the driver go ahead, that's 2 questionable moves, first was the driver should have brought the victim to the nearest hospital which he did not, and second he still drove off leaving his license .

Paging Mayor Abalos, do something about your traffic cops.

    Tao yung napatay. Grabe.

Marami na akong nakita na armored vans na sobrang harurot
kahit ma-trapik, kahit meron silang na-sagi na sasakyan tuloy
tuloy pa rin, hindi man lang pumapara.

But when a human life is already involved then that's a different
story. Pag meron nang nasaktan or nasawi, kesehoda kung ano
pa yang kargo mo, the erring driver should stop and give priority
    to the accident victim(s).

The police heirarchy should meet with bank officers and review their
"don't stop for anything" policy regarding armored vans.

:nono: Hay.

Matagalan at mahal pa.
