Metro Manila Transit- nice Hino buses imported from Japan in 1976. Nice window glasses and fluorescent lightings inside.
DM Transit- white-colored public bus with red stripe. The cool thing with this bus was the transparent plastic window.
California Bus Lines- grey with red stripe usually plying the EDSA-Pasay-Roxas Blvd. route.
De Dios Transit- yellow bus of Proj. 2 & 3 route
Yujuico Transit- green busess of Proj. 2 & 3 route
Baron Transit- violet buses of Quiapo-Guadalupe route.
Crown 11 ballpen- 10 centavos isa
Cross Pen with matching digital watch
110 mm camera film
Glenmore Shoes
Mobile phone with battery pack- parang ginagamit sa giyera
Sylvania flash yun disposable flash cubes noon
Robina Chicken
Manila Steam Laundry malapit sa Welcome Rotonda. Meron pa ba nito?
D' Longest Day teks (1 to 56)- playing cards
Fresh Root Beer- I really miss this

Speaking of buses......
Saint Rafael buses that plied Lawton to Cavite before the Coastal road was built. It was always full of pretty women, stereo music...... I often had to walk from City Hall to PWU just to get a ride. It's also the bus where I cut loose with a nice juicy fartIt's also the same bus (company) where I saw my HS crush for the last time.... Lots of memories.

March 8th, 2007 11:39 PM #204Yes, Nova Fontana is a hobby shop. IMO, I think it is the first ever hobby shop that lovingly catered to scale modelers (and to some extent, RC folks).
However, I don't recall there being any branch in Makati. But then again, I rarely went to Makati back then...
Dang... I used to have a lot of those matchbox cars. Sayang talaga. I should have taken better care of them. I have absolutely no idea where they are now. I even remember purposely wrecking a car I didn't like (received as gift) by tying a KWITIS onto the roof and seeing how far/fast it would go. Shame...shame..shame......

I wasn't exactly sure of the store name. But, that lady's last name was Fontana. This store back then also catered to scale modelers and Tamiya RC models in the then Quad complex. They moved to a new location right before I left. Never found out where. The time frame was around 1982-1983.
Shoppesville. I have no idea where that is.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; March 9th, 2007 at 06:50 AM.
