As I said, you can do a whole lot with the black pill.

Knowing what will happen up to five years in the future will allow you to do the following:

2.c. Can I pass this course? Can I pass the licensure exam? Will I be successful in this line of work? Will I be happy?

3. Anticipate natural disasters, and help prepare for them.

4. Solve crimes. Results of investigations five years into the future are available to you NOW. You can help the police catch the criminals in the act. Even better, you know who will be murdered years in advance, and can help stop these murders from occurring. You can also help prevent accidental deaths.

5. World peace. Only after you become Emperor of the World.

6. Solve economical, political and environmental problems. As Emperor of the World, you can see the results of your actions well in advance and change your plans accordingly. This, of course, is not using your power in public. You can become a shadow Emperor.

A mind reader is limited to the mind he is reading. What that person does not know, you will not know either. Also there is a matter of how many can you mind-read at one time without overloading yourself?
