    http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/space/1...oon/index.html

Sounds familiar? Parang Spartlys islands ah...

US of A is planning to setup a base permanently daw sa moon...although this is still a long shot.

Natatawa ako kse hindi pa sya nakakapunta sa JPL or other Lab for NASA. Kung makikita nya lang sana na mga Asian, and Indian ang mga scientist dun ang lamang lang ng USA sa China, nakukuha sa pera ng US ang mga inventions at scientists around the world.

On the other hand, that plan for NASA looks like a job security in my part

pero may benefit din iyan kahit papaano. in a sense pride ng human race kasi lupit na achievement ito. we are beginning to realize the reality of space explorations. although the crown will belong to the am

    to quote:
The UN Outer Space Treaty of 1967 stipulated that no government could own extraterrestrial property. However, it neglected to mention individuals and corporations. Therefore, under laws dating back from early US settlers, it is possible to stake a claim for land that has been surveyed and register it with the US Government Office of claim registries. In 1980, that is exactly what Dennis Hope did for land on the Moon and he established the Lunar Embassy to parcel and sell documented acres. The Lunar Embassy was obliged to inform the General Assembly of the United Nations, the US Government, and the Russian Government in writing of the claim and legal intent to sell extraterrestrial properties. These governing bodies had several years in which to contest the claim and they never did. This enabled Mr. Hope to take the next step and copyright his work with the US Copyright registry office and begin selling actual deeds for the land on the Moon.
