Pinoys among the Top 10 Happiest in the World

Just heard over the radio...

Filipinos ranked #6 among the world's happiest / content people. They are the only Asian country to be included in the Top 10.

The top country is Venezuela... along with Australia, US, etc.

While at the bottom of the list are Eastern European countries like Bulgaria, Russia, etc.

Sanay kasi tayo sa pagiging poor country thats why we have learned to make do with what we have... Sa ox brain nga lang chaka isaw masaya nako eh... hehe...

there are certain mental disorders that are inherited! maybe we filipinos are genetically predisposed to smile even during the hardest of times. that is why westerners can not understand why filipinos (and some south east asians, too) smile when faced with a problem. "you find that funny...?" is their usual query. we have learned to answer "yes, coz you're jumping up and down and i'm not." and guess what happens to their faces when they hear this reply nyahahaha!

i think the pinoy has a certain 'bahala na' attitude. sucks for progress, but certainly reduces stress levels

coping mechanism siguro natin yan... or baka generally disoriented(we tend to manifest the wrong physical signals to a particular stimulus)

di lang yun, ang mga pinoy praning din---praning sa martial law, praning pag naglalakad na para bng tingin nya sa mga tao kundi mandurugas, snatcher eh terorista... etc.
