I'm against child ****ography.

:praning:

Will the authorities know the computers contain child ****ography if they did not power the computers on? What a hassle if everyone in business class will be asked to switch on their laptops to search for illegal **** before they get past immigration.

So I guess the best solution then if you will be travelling is to encrypt your hard drive with a software encryption tool. I don't think they will torture you to reveal your password, would they?

DoctorDoom, some or most countries prohibits encryption softwares.

Pati MP3 player, you will be asked to power it up.

Kahit before 9/11 ganito na sa Airport, AFAIK. A motivated criminal can put something inside the electronic device to inflict harm. (i.e. a custom single shot pistol can fit inside the CD Player.)

Id rather have that privacy taken away from me as opposed to jeopardizing my security.

Usually, people who asks for search warrants are the ones who are hiding something illegal. If you refused and asked for a search warrant, they can always use your refusal to obtain a search warrant.
