if the Philippines is to get Mirage or MIGS, it will still be expensive, unless these countries who have them on stock are selling them as second hand or third hand units. and because of the meager defense budget that the Phils have, yun lang ang maaafford natin.
maganda nga yung planes na gamit ng SOKOR ngayon...
on the navy, kailangan ng at least a fleet of warships and frigates. Note that the BRP Del Pilar is only a coast guard ship of the US, hindi nya kayang makipagsabayan sa warships and frigates ng ibang bansa. In fact, baka yung mga monitoring ships lang ng China ang katapat ng del Pilar eh.

Ridiculously Affordable Russian Jet that is survivable = MiG-21Bison
Those things did so well in Red Flag they became pesteringly annoying for the US side because of their Israeli jammers combined with 0.3m^2 Radar cross section
It can be armed with both NATO and Russian made ordnance, do attack role, jammer role, interceptor role and go toe to toe against Pakistani F-16'sDamn, son! Where'd you find this?

The T-50 Golden Eagle looks to fill in the role of a lead-in fighter trainer (LIFT), as well as a multi-role attack aircraft. If the PH can get at least 2 squadrons of these (around 48 aircraft), we can at least have a credible air defense and border patrol on our skies including the disputed waters in the West Philippine Sea.
