Same plot, different characters. Puro fairy tale movies or rags to riches of yung role reversal ng mayaman/pangit ugali vs. mahirap/good morals blah blah blah.
Tapos yung hilig natinag mga lalaki, yung may mga kabit sa story, nyahahaha.
Ok saken KKK, Tanging Yaman at yung spoof niya. La nangaction movies like kay Binoe, Bong, Rudy, Cesar etc. Puro pa-cute na lang eh. pwehhhh.Fasten your seatbelt! Or else... Driven To Thrill!

I think some local independent films are doing raves on international film festivals.
Personally though I haven't watched any yet.
I had big expectations on Rosario, but it didn't meet it. It was a nice effort though. I love period films done right.
Mainstream movies on the other hand are another matter that's clearly for business.

I agree. The latest one is LATUS which gained international critical recognition in the Cannes Film Festival. A story about street children played by street children themselves

Distribution is a problem though as virtually no major cinemas show them.Last edited by anonemus; June 1st, 2011 at 12:23 PM.

^ ano pa nga ba, recyced story/plots eh. Pero minsan may mga maganda pa rin but not like Slundog Millionaire or Life is Beautiful caliber.
