Dang. My sister's best friend was part of a ponzi con involving foreign exchange with a group of friends according to her. She fled the country to Singapore almost ten years ago when the pyramid collapsed. Her rise in lifestyle was astounding during their heyday. I had my doubts, so I never put any money into it. Good thing my gut feel was right on the mark.

Unfortunately, I got hit when my brother convinced me just a few years after to invest with his friend who was a FX broker in a prominent FX trading company based in Ayala. I think it was called Philippine Foreign Exchange Inc., or something like that. They looked legit and my brother and I were even invited on site to see their office operations.

Well, just a couple of months after, we lost most of the money we put in. And some months after, the firm was in the news being accused of some illegal practice or operation.

    Well, can't win em all.

Like so? .... SBE with a Hermes Birkin bag.

Nate met Sheila (not their real names) in 2004 through his friend Jack, who owns an art gallery. Nate is the gallery director in a Manila university owned by his family.

but you can't carry your mindanao farm/beach everywhere you go

but you can carry your super expensive bag

it's not really about the bag. it's the effect of the bag. the image, the attention and praises

it's the doors the bag can open

with that bag you're in a club. an exclusive circle

the bag is the price you pay to enter that circle

^^^ Just like the car that your are driving around town. Image statement iyan....

Kahit na maliit na bahay lang o nangungupahan lang at sa kalye lang nakaparada ang sasakyan (not by choice), almost nothing on your dinner table... Okay lang...

    Sikat ka naman sa labas....

    Saan ka pa???

kaya nga sayang pera nyo kakabili ng top of the line cars, top of the line TVs, laptops etc. I've been saying this all along. Your GFs or your wives are an extension of you. Arm them with today's weapons: European shoes, bags. Pag pang daily malls buy them American ones like coach and nine west.

the girl in question in this thread amassed 500M. From a lowly stewardess to entering the circle of the millionaire's club. It's hard to do business nowadays but this girl bought the rich and famous people. that's a feat in itself.

    ---------

cars hang gang parking lang. Even if you attend hotel parties, chances are the other guests will not see your life's most expensive investment. So by basic logic, your 1M is just sitting there in the basement with no one to see.. So sad.

pero ang bags with your wife, that's the best impression for you for other people to think you are moneyed and therefore make more money.
