Chip Foose of Foose Designs heads a team customizing rundown cars, usually American muscle cars, for people as a surprise, usually with accomplices close to the owner.

Tonight they featured Lance Armstrong's GTO.

sometimes they feature those on discovery, on their program "car stuff"?? (not sure, something like that) wherein the host is jason priestly (from beverly hills 90210). One episode i watched was when Foose and the other great designers would overhaul and customize diff cars for a hot rod contest/carshow.

on a related note, on dec. 6-10, may feature ang discovery channel on cars every 10pm for every day of that week.

Two teams of mechanics - one in Detroit, Michigan and one in Toronto, Canada - have been given the task of bringing the Ford Mustang back to the racetrack. If all goes according to plan, it will be the first time in over six years that a major factory-backed road-racing Mustang rips up the circuit. To begin there will be one car with each team - two vehicles to test different, imperative aspects of the racecar designs.

Both yung OVERHAULIN' at RIDES are car makeovers at TLC but the difference are their guests/victims.

Sa OVERHAULIN, although common joe yung mga victims nila, may nakita' akong isang episode na may celebrity. I think it was the episode with the "90210" guy in it. Can't remember the name though. I'm not really good at names anyway, but I remember faces so much better.

Yung RIDES are purely celebrity car makeovers.

There's also "Pimp your Ride" on MTV where they turned loser rides into, well, pimped.

egh... that's just plain sad.... "Pimp my Ride" is nothing compared to Overhauling... Chip Foose is a customizing God.
