Kids reported missing, kidnapped in QC
Police are now searching for two Quezon City children who have been missing for two weeks and are presumed kidnapped by a syndicate allegedly engaged in selling human organs, ABS-CBN News reported Tuesday.
Marites Perez said her child, Jeffrey, went missing on August 24. Perez, a resident of Barangay Manggahan on Commonwealth Avenue, said she last saw her child as he was on his way to school.
Victoria Plana, meanwhile, also said her daughter Juvy went missing on the same day Perez's child was allegedly kidnapped.
Both parents said their fears have been bolstered by reports regarding a mother who found her child with a long incision to the stomach. The child died afterwards.
“May mga nangunguha daw kasi ng bata na ibinebenta ang kidney (There are reports that children are being kidnapped for their kidneys),” Perez said.
Perez said that nine-year-old Jeffrey failed to come home after going to school. The child's teacher told Perez that the boy failed to come to class on that day.
Plana, meanwhile, said her daughter also failed to return home after running an errand.
Plana said her daughter's classmates know nothing of the girl's whereabouts.
Both mothers said they are uncertain if their children disappeared together. Some of the boy's classmates said they saw him on Billonco Street in Barangay Manggahan on August 30.
One of the boy's classmates said he saw the missing child running down the street.
Police said they have yet to receive a report regarding kidnap syndicates who engage in selling human organs.

Pag nahuli ang mga sindikatong yan, dapat tinatalupan ng buhay o tinatanggalan ng dalawang mata.

Let's wait for further updates muna. Mahirap kasi kung magpa-panic agad tayo. IMO, urban legend lang yung mga ganyang istorya, the type you receive on your email which urges you to spread them around. It creates hysteria, and is more counter-productive.

Possible yan.
Supply and demand yan e.
Let's say a child of very rich parents needs a new kidney or liver... the parents are willing to pay... so demand is created.
Where there's a demand, there will always be suppliers.
Middle men will look for "donors".
The middle men will not tell the parents where they got the organ.
And the parents wouldnt care where the organ came from as long as it will save their child's life.
One thing i learned: People will do anything basta buhay & pera ang pinag uusapan.Last edited by uls; September 6th, 2007 at 12:05 PM.

My view is that people will pay the donors for their organs, but to snatch a child off the streets and KILL them would be a stretch.
Documented naman talaga yung pag-benta ng organs, sa Tondo nga, andaming lalaki na binenta yung kidneys nila for 100k. It was even featured sa I-Witness. Also, IIRC, even the Director of the NKTI (Dr. Ona??) was ambushed and almost killed allegedly over the illegal practice.
Kahit naman yung kumakalat sa email, buhay yung donor, iniwan lang kung saan with a packet of ice cubes na nakalagay sa incision area and a telephone on their hand so they can call the hospital or an emergency number.

well, pwede urban legend yan.
Pero i would never underestimate the level of evil some people are capable of.
Kung meron tao kaya mang rape at pumatay ng bata, ilagay sa maleta at itapon sa ilog,
meron tao kaya pumatay ng bata, kunin ang organs, at ibenta sa halagang ilan daan libo.
