probably testing the max speed of the car.. Autobahn yan eh.. kahit ako i like to try that highway..
OT Question: kung tayo po ba makakapunta dyan sa autobahn, makapag-drive tayo without any other papers tulad sa USA.

u just need to secure an international license from AAP. if u're renting a car (in germany, the popular rentacar company is Sixt)
went to germany back in 2k1...rental car BMW 520tds Estate (E39) can do 215kph....and consistently. and u'd still have cars faster than you on the left lane. unfortunately my father relegated me to driving only around town. the discipline of drivers there is astounding...you can't even slack off for a second when the traffic lights turn green! the driver behind you will not hesitate to honk his horn or flash his lights. how i wish all filipino drivers could have the same attentiveness to the road.
roads there are wonderful, autobahnen have 5 lanes per direction, and it's hard to get lost. and you wonder why the best race drivers are mostly from europe?
