puwera lang yung mga resibo na kailangan for warranty, tinatapon niyo ba ang mga old receipts like monthly bills payments, etc. or tinatabi niyo for files. if so, gaano katagal? my old receipts are piling up...gusto ko na i-discard kaso baka kailanganin ko balang araw.

    Reasons to keep:

    1) Charged as business expense and deductible from gross income
    3) Proof of Purchase to claim warranty

i also keep receipts from medicine dahil pwede ko i-reimburse.
i also keep some clothing receipts dahil may clothing allowance din ako.

for meralco, pldt, cable tv, water and cellphone invoices and receipts, i usually throw them away after 3 months.

for credit card receipts, i retain them for 3 months also.

for verification. property/vehicle/insurance receipt for filling yan syempre.

Same here.

All other receipts,- nandoon sa card din namin. So I keep them, until I verify na kasama na sa na-charge ng card, except those which I can claim warranty.

Credit card bills,- I shred the previous one as soon as I receive a new one. Nandoon naman kasi kung nagbayad ka na....

Receipts from any government agency/office (SSS/GSIS/Pag-Ibig/ITR) - do not discard them. The burden of proof always lies with the common tao...

pag food / drinks receipt.. i keep them for tax shield.. ginagawa ko.. pino photocopy ko.. kasi yung iba nasa thermal paper.. after ilang months nabubura.. so pag ka photo copy tapon na yung original.. then my accountant keeps the photocopy.. para sa BIR..

i also keep a spreadsheet of all expenses.. income and expenses.. siguro mag 10 years na yung spreadsheet ko.. so don kita lahat..
