I don't remember going to Lil's or Nova Fontana because they're by the street with cars and parking. The Fontana I remember is by the QUAD and pedestrian-only access. Perhaps, I'm simply not remembering things well. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I had to climb down some stairs to get to Fontana's. That could be the rear entrance. I never bothered to check the other side of the building. It made sense because after I was done buying at Fontana's, I headed back to the QUAD area.

I noticed all the mall shoppers wearing blue jeans. That was the fashion I remember. I think I was one of the very few who wore denim shorts (with tucked-in shirt) at the time. Good thing I was still skinny then. Otherwise, my balls would be bulging out.

Lil's was upstairs, Nova was downstairs... There were comic shops also upstairs. The building was connected to Quad. When this building was torn down, Nova went bust and Lil's moved to Park Square.

Someone here mentioned in an earlier thread about a hobby shop with the name Fontana opening at Greenhills after the hobby shop with the same name at Makati (QUAD) closed. That can't be a coincidence. I'm assuming the owners are the same. But, they moved out before the building at QUAD was torn down. I never saw that last part because I already left the country before it occurred.

The lady I referred to had a bearing (that I found attractive) and appeared much too glamorous to be an employee. She had to be one of the owners.

It really started around 92-93..traffic was terrible when they were constructing the skyway/slex....it was only 1 lane on most parts..coming from manila to pque, it was 3hrs

I miss Nova Fontana. I would visit them as often as I could during weekends. I bought a lot of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons books from their SM City Car Park branch back then.

I was hoping to see the grand lady herself in the photos. Oh well.
