i have been using a treo 270 since it came out in the philippines and to date, i am still using it and very happy with it. it may not have the look of the newer "pda-phones" but it still gets the job done.
i like its versatility (telephone with conference call, speaker, speed dialing, texting) and functionality (palm software with phone address, calendar, other palm softwares like games and other apps). i used to have a nokia 9110 (wow, that must be dinosaur by now, hehehehe) and so far, the hot sync function of the palm is much better.
if ask me if its worth the investment, my answer is definitely :D
tried searching and most of the threads zeroed in on P800/p900/xda and nothing specific about the treo600... will search again and maybe i missed out on some...
pissword -- if by touch screen you mean writing letters/words by using the screen just like the graffiti function of a regular palm, it can be done. but you have to download a software called "newpen."
maganda siya, you can actually write on the screen na :D
and, maganda rin ang newpen kasi when i send a text from my treo, i am writing on my palm as if i am scribbling some notes instead of pushing buttons. mas mabilis, hehehehe
I have a treo 600, stable os sya plus i've been using palm os for years na so no problem with compatibility....the downsides:
160x160 touch screen
no bluetooth
needs good lighting for the camera
initially can play midi tones
the goodies:
lots of shareware/freeware
mine can now play mp3 and wav
can record videos too
-echo sound when making a call/receiving a call
-frequent hanging (but may be resolved by software upgrade or callibration of the unit)
-the camera is not that cleared but once transferred to a PC, image is clear..
