Nursing Review Center

My wife's niece will be graduating this march. She's asking our opinion regarding this (we're helping sa gastos ng aral nya at kami din magbabayad ng review) coz she plans to take the Local board afterwards.

advise naman kung saan maganda (manila or baguio). all we heard are Gapuz, Northcap, Pentagon and Labagnoy. magkano ba ang fees at pati na din board since she's from the province.

I pag self review mo nalang kapatid. " been there, done that ". Yong mga reviewer eh don lang naman sila kumukuha sa libro at binabasa, tapos! Una commute mo ilang oras na , eh kung nireview mo sa bahay yon, 2nd magastos' para sa 'kin yong mga reviewer na yan eh totally pointless at moneymaking machine. Just buy your niece good nursing question and answer books, at mga lumang handouts from PRC ( makukuha mo ito sa mga klasmet ng niece mo na nagrereview sa review center.)Tell her to focus on that answer and question thing , overall to develop her confidence. Never tried to memorize books ( cause its not possible in a very short period of time ) and beside she's done with that. My personal experience, maraming akong kilala na pumasa both local and US NCLEX through self review. Wish her goodluck. Anyway , mas bigtime na mga PHARMACIST ngayon, dito sa US starting salary pa lang eh 6 digits na, whew ! (add info lang)

ako nagreview na ako sa pentagon noon, sa pentagon around 12,000++ ata, mas mahal ng konti sa gapuz (some of my classmates ko dun nag review).. but yung venues ng itong dalawang review centers are all in manila, sa pentagon around U-belt.. ang gapuz nman sa PTTC, at sa ibang hotel ata pero magkakalapit lang.. all venues are fully airconditioned..

sa pentagon, konti lang ang students per session, nung sa amin around 1000 students pero sa UE theather naman.. all are equipped with lcd monitors and powerpoint presentation. and may kwelang lecturers (gays).

sa gapuz nman maramihan, more than 1 thousand ata depende sa laki ng venue..

if kulang sa budget, you can choose nlng kung anong gusto pasukan.. for example sa pentagon may: a.intensive (puro lectures), b.critical (puro answer sa test papers) at c.final coaching (leakage?! ).. piliin mo kung gusto puro lecture lang, test or final coaching lang..

sa pentagon dati, ang intensive review ay araw araw including sundays 8-3 ata yun.. prob sa penta ay non refundable dito.. kaya ingat sa pag down ng pera.. mas mura pag full payment pero mas mahal ang installment na bayad.. hndi refundable and transferable once na nagdown ka na..

sa baguio nman, magaling ang labagnoy (kamag anak ni gaypuz ) and st.louis na review center.. may st. louis din dito sa manila near morayta.. mas mura around 10,000 all in all..

ingat lang kse ngayon todo ang monitoring sa pentagays at sa gaypuz dahil sa pagkakadawit nila sa leakage last board exam..

one piece of advice when choosing a review center... choose a more credible one... not that i'm destroying any review center's credibility but as far as i know review centers such as R.A. GAPUZ, PENTAGON, INRESS & ST. LOUIS still has to convince the authority of their involvement from the recent nursing licensure examination leakage... one review center that i can recommend is PRS located along dapitan st near a.h. lacson st. (just across ust)... magagaling profs dun kaso dito yun sa manila... san ba grad niece mo?

thanks guys. we're considering all your suggestions. preferred nga namin either baguio or manila, basta mas mahusay ang review kesa sa province. we want the best for her kahit medyo mahal ng konti.

di ba reviewees ng northcap (baguio) yung mga nagprotesta sa leakage?

usually ba, gaano katagal ang review? and magkano kaya ang board/lodging pag manila or baguio? hehe.. sensya na, la talaga ako alam dito..

bro, san ba location mo? wala ako idea bout sa northcap regarding the leakage.. but st.louis and labagnoy ang sikat sa bagiuo.. if dito ka sa manila, may mga boarding house sa paligid (ayaw ko lang kase sa manila, medyo magulo eh.. hehehe) yng mga friend ko nag rent sila lang condo unit 10,000/mo. pero 4 sila.. sa baguio hndi ko alam lang ang rate ng rent dun.. ang review minsan nagstart ng late March (nagstart nga yung review centers habang may pasok pa kami nun), until the day before the exam (final coaching)

ang alam ko ay may mga provincial review centers ang gapuz,penta at st.louis, labagnoy.. meron ding mga accredited review centers by gapuz sa province.. ang tinuturo lang nman sa review class ay yung mga tinuro na din sa lectures sa school.. maayos lang at may techniques lang na tinuturo sa review centers..

may mga nursing reviewers book na pi-nublish si gapuz.. try mo bumili nun..

she's studying at WUP cabanatuan.. meron din mga review centers dun, kaya lang di ba mas maganda sa mga reputable centers sya mag-review. kailangan na yata kasi magpareserve ng slot ngayong january pa lang..

thanks bro raikonen.. kung cabanatuan ang location mo, i suggest sa baguio na lang.. IMO, dito kase sa manila madyo magulo at may kamahalan base sa mga nakilala ko na nagreview noon sa pentagon (some of them are from bicol na nagreview d2 sa manila) may na-hold up at nagoyo since taga province sila at wala msyado background sa environment dito sa manila..

but its better kung may mga kasama syang classmates para may kasama sya sa review.. some of my former batchmates ay nag review din sa baguio, the reason is gusto nila makapag concentrate sa ibang lugar, different environment nga daw..

may gapuz, labagnoy, st.louis review centers sa baguio. better find a good boarding house or yet rent an apartment w/ classmates para hati-hati sa bayad at kilala nya ang kasama nya sa place.. maaga ang reservation sa mga review center dahil baka maubusan ng slots..

i choose baguio kase marami din tourists na pupunta dun since summer na.. at least madaming tourists sa paligid.. unlike dito sa manila, madaming holdapper at alam nila kung bago ka sa lugar..

Tama sa Baguio na lang malamig pa.

Labagnoy daw magaling sa Baguio. Dyan ng review anak ko. madami daw sa mga tips ng labagnoy na possible na Lumabas sa exam ng CGFNS ay lumabas nga. Pati NCLEX na ipasa nya at yong state board na sa hong kong nya inixam ay naipasa nya din. Nasa New Jersey na sya ngayon.
