3.) Would you allow your college kid to study PT at UST (see Goon Squad thread re shooting of PT stude)?

For me, yes. I just hope me and the wifey prepared him/her decently enough for the bad, bad world out there. (Pero kung si sir M54 date nya, dapat sama ako and sir Jun and his .357 )

And so God watches us, happy when He sees something good. Sad with something bad. Again, free will. Angels in the garden is the comfort He gives the good. I wouldn't want a commie-type God. What greater purpose could there be than that we were made in His image (meaning free to do what we feel is right)?

tell us how freewill works....an innocent child was ordered to buy something from the store..on her way back...2 guys abducted her..raped her countless times..tortured her...****ed her till she die...threw a stone on her head to make sure she's dead....freewill?

not really...i'll probably revere someone who is worth revering. not someone with a history of violence. If this is the case, there must be something that compels me to revere a person even if he is not worth revering. this person must be using a silent threat that if i dont revere him...i'll spend the rest of my life in torture...this is not true reverence..it's more of control....definitely not freewill.

Well, Adam had free will... and that's what supposedly got us into this mess in the first place.

Kaya siguro maraming may gustong magka-dictator tayo ngayon? Freewill is nothing but trouble daw!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

So that begs the question, what do you revere? Some would call the Old Testament Yahweh to be violent, but such can also be perceived as acts of justice. It is certainly easy to perceive God as a control freak, but that's simply because He's a God of Order. If you're looking for a God of Convenience, someone who gives a supportive nod whenever you push the limits of freedom, then the Christian God is not for you. You could probably find someone appropriate in the Hindu pantheon of hundreds, or simpy forego the idea of a deity altogether. And that my friend, is free will.

Boss city sablay to sa argument ng freewill. Let's argue freewill outside religious ground.

Any democratic country has a law, anyone has been given the right to break it or follow it. What happens to you if you break the law?

    hmmm... basic right???

can you site an example of pushing the limits of freedom and examples of violent acts perceived as acts of justice? post something from the bible so we would see if it's really a push of limits to freedom or an act of justice. This way we can see if it's a god of order or a god of violence. Or would you like me to be the one to post? I'm giving you the freewill.

oo nga e...medyo OT na pati..pero lets discuss and not argue....sharing views sounds more non-violent.

ok..if i break the law i'm liable...i get punished depending on the extent of damage.

    o tapos.

Have a go my friend. And by the way, order is not always exclusive of violence.
