SENATOR Panfilo Lacson has launched the " Be Not Afraid" Movement that will put up centers to distribute free copies of the purported wiretapped audiotapes linking President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to electoral fraud.
Lacson said the movement, backed by a private group, would also give away "Garci" ring tones, referring to the "Hello Garci" greeting allegedly by the President when she purportedly called Commission on Elections Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano to ensure that she would win by a million votes.
Pro-opposition congressmen said Lacson had invited them to the press conference at the Manila Hotel.
Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, campaign adviser of the late Fernando Poe Jr. in the 2004 poll, said the actor's supporters would back a campaign to ask Arroyo to resign.
Leaders of business groups, labor movement, and youth organizations were also present in the launch.
