SM has become a sort of corporate bully, insisting on their terms, on a take it or leave it basis. Kawawa naman yung mga smaller suppliers.

exactly
take it or leave it
if you want your products to appear on SM's shelves, accept the terms SM demands
kaya if you're a small company, don't bother approaching SM
go to smaller retailers
makikilala parin naman ang iyong products without SM's help

the Bonus brand is actually one of the demands SM imposes on its suppliers
SM demands its suppliers to come up with lower cost versions of their products which SM uses for its Bonus brand
those Bonus products are actually produced by the same companies that make branded productsLast edited by uls; August 25th, 2009 at 04:56 PM.

I don't think it's a lower cost or lower quality product from the supplier but rather pareho lang yun, kung ano binebenta ng let us say best food mayonase, best food pa rin yun but repacked parang incentive ng SM if makabenta ng 100 boxes meron silang free 1 box..etc..kaya lahat ng product meron silang SM bonus eh wala naman silang manufcturing...
