    12/15/2009 | 01:00 PM

(Updated - 1:32 pm) An explosion rocked The Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City Tuesday afternoon killing at least one who was inside a car.

Authorities received a report on the incident at about 12 noon, Police Officer 3 Dex Cabrera told GMA News.TV in a telephone interview.

He said the blast took place on 11th Avenue in front of Serendra mall and Fully Booked bookstore.

Blogger Judd Sta. Maria who witnessed the incident said he saw the car entering Serendra basement when the vehicle suddenly blew up. "I think the car was going down to the parking area," he said in an interview with a television station.

The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined by authorities as of posting time. -Mark Merueñas, TJ Dimacali, ARCS, GMANews.TV

Condolences to the victim's family. Looking at the pictures only, it seems that the explosion or fire originated from the car rather than being detonated from outside of it.

I know! I've seen several cars on TV that went on fire (engine area) but this one is really bad.

Yup, looking at the roof and doors of the car, plus the condition of the rest of the car (hood, trunk), the explosion came from the inside of the car's cabin.

    Foul play?

From mythbusters, heck no! Not without outside help (a few meters of detonation cord with a couple gallons of gasoline).

Possible ba na ganito ang pagsabog kung hindi bomb ang dahilan? Nakakatakot naman kung wiring lang ang dahilan. Hindi rin naman siguro lpg converted ito dahil fuel efficient na itong car na ganito.

Effects of explosion is too small for a terror plot as the body of the car is still intact.

Assassination is more likely. Either that or the person is carrying some sensitive chemicals/materials.
