Pareng John, sorry ngayon ko lang nabasa yung thread mo. Alam mo naman dito... anyways, considering the circumstances, hands down, lumipat ka na. All pros and no cons.
Well, may isang con akong naiisip.... mawawalan ka ng poging opismeyt! hehehe.
Goodluck pare and nice working with you! (teka, hindi ka pa pala resigned hehe) Pero seriously, nice career move yan and its gonna go a long way. Tama't youre still young, go go go! Grab it while its there.
Well, for all who wish to know, medyo oppressive nga yung company policies dito with regards sa employees, pero i'm in Marketing and John is in IT. Iba yung environment namin.
Ang dami kasing opportunities dito sa department ko.... too sweet to pass up. Iba yung mga connections na na build up ko in just a short span of time. Kung long term, personally, im better off staying here.

btw, am a IT specialist here... am the one handling SAP... production support / project mgt / business process review / etc... all in one... wala pa akong one year with this position - used to work for logistics before i got transferred to IT. ang hindi ko lang gusto is kapag nasa loob ka na - mabagal ang financial advancement. ako and yung peers ko dito masyadong malaki ang salary gap.
sa new job offer wala na yung support component - more on business process analysis, process re-engineering and project mgt.
bossing, im on the telecom business din. my 2 cent is try to get more experience jan sa present job mo. IT in telecoms specially on switches, MSC/BSC, can fetch around 6 to 7k USD /mo. you'll get to travel pa, europe, american continent, africa... etc. in demand pa lalo yan sa mga established communication companies kasi yung mga tao nila, leaving din for a more greener pastures. dont you notice na kokonti ang mga entry level engrs, karamihan seniors kasi its very easy to leave specially single ka... try to think about it. my 2 cents...

mazdamazda? John? John Pratts?? huwaw! FAFAAAAAA!!!
anyway, mas malaki talaga ang compensention kung lilipat ka ng company. Tatlo sa company namin na mga PM nag reisgn. They were begged to come back and with a 50% salary increase.
Established na ang mga higher mgmt ng ABS, kaya medyo mahirap yata ang promotion[?] Kaya dapat ang salary offer sayo, isang malaking bagsak agad.
Nga pala, paki bigay sa talent center yung pic ko k? :hihihi:

My piece lang, I'd rather stick sa telco industry. Mas malayo mararating mo when it comes to your career. ABS-CBN might have a better compensation package, but career wise, I think your advancement in telco industry will be more bright.
