IMHO, para kasing mas ok ang ABS-CBN. for one, maganda ang implementation nila ng SAP (yung ERP system wherein i specialize) and may full support team sila for this. sa tingin ko kasi, mas matuto ako from them kasi ok ang implementation and well documented.

dito kasi, sariling aral / kayod ako sa pag aral ng SAP. wala akong ibang mapag tanungan cept for the consultants and some key SAP users. marami na kasing na pirate si ABS na SAP users at mga nag resign dito - kaya pahirap nang pahirap buhay ko... hehehe...

ABS-CBN called me up for a new job offer under the same dep't before. this time it's for a jr. manager position (I was a junior specialist before then).

I still have yet to see the package but when I mentioned my current pay to them it seems like they can easily give a 50% increase (plus of course the standard benefits there).

am just frustrated right now with my current job since am a one-man department... other companies usually have a 5 to 20 people for supporting SAP... no word yet about the new organization but it seems that only 2 of us will handle the said function for this year.

help!

If you think you'll feel better going back to ABS then do so by all means.

Remember LIFE IS SHORT!

50% in pay and no a stand alone department sounds good to me.

No brainer yan. The work is similar to what you're doing, the environment allows you to learn and advance, you like the type of work you are currently doing which would essentially be the same over at abs-cbn, you get better support at abs-cbn, the company abs-cbn is solid and stable and would be a nice addition to your resume, the work place is closer to home, and to top it all off, you get a 50% pay raise!!!

Don't worry about the untouchable executives. When you have shown how good you are and you have demonstrated that you can make them superstars (those people have ego problems, believe it or not), they'll be nice to you. Just focus on your job and how you can add value to abs-cbn.

i'd take the huge raise any day, as long as you have good opportunities for career growth (with abs-cbn, obviously yes), your work is challenging and interesting (your call), and you feel like you have a fair chance to succeed and be promoted (?)

If you think you will be happy working in ABS-CBN then grab the opportunity. Pag hinde ka naging masaya dyan sa ABS-CBN then look for another job, anyway, you are still young and still a lot of opportunities for you.

Ako after going through the "dreamland" phase of working na habol mo ay career ek ek, I'll always go after the better pay and compensation package. You don't wanna live working and seeking to make ends meet as you get older. Now na may anak ako, kung san ako makakaipon dun ako, trabaho lang yan, for me, at the end of the day, pay me for what I worked for, the hell do I care kung sino magiging boss ko or ano title ko.
