i agree with pekto...where is the panama canal? biased naman to against modern wonders...i would also think about the UK-France "Chunnel"...
also, nahanap na ba yung Macchu Picchu? sabi sa Hardy Boys books, Lost City pa daw to eh![]()
btw, eto pala yung pic ko of the Taj. went there three months ago.
just wanted to share![]()
Arghh... sorry bud, but that's another one of "local false proclamation" claims that they teach in school... The Banawe Rice terraces isn't unique, it isn't even the oldest or largest in SOUTH EAST ASIA, let alone other parts of Asia.
Parang florescent lamp claim din to eh, nagimbento ng "8th wonder" ang unreliable source na walang official say sa subject matter. Heck, WWE's Chyna is the "9th wonder" diba hehe.
Funny why they included the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty, they are landmarks, but hardly considered as "wonders"...
Mamichula: Building a wall that long with such significant historical records is over-rated? Maybe as a tourist site, but not its significance, which is what they're basing these votings on...

Oh I see.. I just din't find anything extra ordinary about its history because there are other fortifications that have been built to keep enemies at bay just not this big ... hmm except that its also a mass grave well that one's kinda interesting...
Oh isn't this based on popularity? Because votes were made through sms, email , phone calls etc. Can we really be sure that all of those who voted are well aware of the historical significance of the wonders? Hmmm just a thought.. BUt I agree that it should be based on historical significance..![]()
then again its just my opinion and I respect yours![]()
unanimity of opinion belongs to the graveyard, differences in opinion is a sign of a good discussion

kagagaling lang ng opismeyt ko sa dubai last week. di pa daw tapos, but they took a cruise to see them from offshore...hanep daw talaga![]()
