i still remember bourdain's visit here a few years back. sayang hindi magaling iyong host niyang amboy (balikbayan na sa states nabuhay at nanirahan) kaya medyo detached pa rin siya sa kultura natin. he was sincerely proud of his roots though so that i got to give it to him

i recall two things that blew bourdain's mind in his last visit were the sisig and the lechon cebu :munch:

ano nga ba pinaka-masarap na halo-halo? razon's pa din ba?

And SMB, I recall him saying about our beer too. Razon's halo-halo is good because of the way they "grind" their ice, very fine. Try Digman's halo-halo in Bacoor town proper (Cavite) ... its good too.

    OnT:

ok nga eh, korean town feature nila then dinala siya ng korean tour guide niya sa jollibee for "haylo-haylo"...

Razon's uses high quality milk. Laugh all you want at the lack of colorful off-the-shelf preserves, of cheap Halo-Halo, our family only likes Razon's.

Let's put it this way... no matter how much extra cheese, sausage or toppings you get with Pizza Hut's increasingly weird and overloaded Pizzas, they still don't taste as good as a simple Four-Cheese Pizza from an authentic Italian Pizzeria. And that's the same way I feel about Jollibee Halo-Halo. Using quantity to cover up for quality.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
