+1,000,000 kang korek jan! They only claim that 2010 gunban reduce the violence...kse busy ang mga goons sa kanilang modus operandi while the kapulisan ay busy din bantayan ang mga kandidato dahil sa directives ng Comelec na bigyan ng isang escort na pules ang isang kandidato....

Thus gunban stop or prevent crimes? not at all! Even on the same day of election nagka ratratan pa sa harap ng police precint sa may Talaba, Bacoor dahil sa mga kontra partido at bata ng mga kandidato and take note, mga nasa serbisyo ang involve....

it's like their saying that criminals can do crime already..

gun ban equals to libreng hold up sa mga tao na walang pang self defense..

at san naman sila naka kita ng criminal na sumusunod sa batas?

    This is the question:

    * How can a civilian defend their lives and property in the event of Hijack, car jack, holdups atbp, which most of this crimes happen in the street or public places where only the goons can carry even illegal weapon?

    * Can our LEO's respond on time to such scenario as what they claim " To Serve and Protect "....?

    Anyone can answer?
+1 on this, also look at the people who got caught on the recent gun ban, lahat sila walang license and ptc. not just the people who got caught on the recent gun ban, sama na din natin ang mga shooting incedents wala din mga license and ptc yung mga yon.

i'll gladly surrender my fire arms if our LEO's can respond as quick and can be trusted like the LEO's out here in the states. until they can do that, even if there is a gun ban i would still bring my gun. i don't care about almost all of the laws in the philippines, because the people who are implementing it are also the ones violating it.

... noting a marked declined in the crime rate since its implementation on Jan.10
Not exactly. It's the Police Checkpoint that helps reduced this. My usual route is Ortigas then Libis QC (Manggahan Bridge). All of them have Police Checkpoints which is quite effective.

Di yan mangyayari, Noynoy is a gun enthusiast and Ruffy Biazon is a die-hard airsofter.

Police presence deters crime. Not the gun ban.

Sheesh. And its not as if the PNP can be trusted, anyway.

they cant.... thats the sad part. that is what I said to the chief when he questioned my application for my FA license.... I just said to him that if he could give me assurance on my security then i would rest my case.... well funny... he said he cant....

maybe or maybe not... most of the time the police will arrive just to document the incident.... bihira yun actual chase sa crime kahit within seconds lang at pwede pa hulihin... why do i say this.... well it is based on my personal experience sad to say....

    Anyone can answer?
