share ko lang a funny incident


hindi na ko nakakapanood ng local basketball games lately, nababasa ko na lang paminsan-minsan ang games results at ang mga major na nangyayri and this
became obvious last night in a scene inside an elevator sa isang hotel sa ortigas

my wife and i were talking inside the elevator and it stopped at a floor where a very tall young man came in--now, there were just the 3 of us inside.
tuloy pa rin kami ng usapan ng wife ko but i became very curious about this third person inside who i'm sure is playing basketball somewhere which prompted me to talk to him

ako: (nakatingala) "hi, saan ka naglalaro?"
basketball player: (smiling back) "sa national team po."
ako: "talaga? which team?"
basketball player: "smart gilas"
ako: (hindi pa rin nag-iisip kasi gusto nang bumalik sa usapan with my wife) "ah, really? ano'ng pangalan mo?"
basketball player: (in humble tone) "japeth po." and by this time, we had reached his floor and the door opened.
ako: . . .(wala pa rin, di pa rin nag-register)
basketball player: (exiting the elevator) :"aguilar"
ako: (hiyang-hiya--totally) "ooh, sige, iwasan ang injuries, ha".
ako: (pagsara ng pinto) "****!" :hihihi:
