(ehem ehem)

There was a time when on-line forums were confined to BBSes. Used to connect at 2400bps to several of those. That was also the time when mobile phones were bulky and Mobiline was big business. And very few had one.

Walang bastusan. Everyone who had access had some sort of "education", at least in manners. Mahal ang modem. Mahal ang computer.

Then the Internet came, and medyo ok pa rin kasi mga naunang kumabit sa Internet backbone locally - schools, big businesses... Mahal pa noon ang internet access. 550 ang 10 hours. 8 hours pa nga sa iba, at 2,500 ang unlimited. Mahal pa rin.

Now any idiot with 30 pesos can do one hour's worth of ill-mannered (even illegal) activities at their neighborhood Internet cafe.

What can you expect? That's the price to pay of making technology affordable. Ubiquity has its downsides.

Wag nyo na lang pansinin. Do not ever stoop down to their below-ground level.
