Stoner: All races has a "smell" IMO, nasasanay lang tayo sa ganung klaseng amoy... Asians, in general are teh most racist in terms of racial intolerance simply because the cultures are rather closed-knit and like mbeige said, less exposed to melting-pot societies.
Nations that has a history of being conquered and controlled a lot by different countries has a harder time accepting other races IMO...

Eto racism ba ito:
- Sydney Australia. Sa MRT Umupo kami ng kasama ko, katabi ng 2 Aussie ladies. Tiningnan kami, then sabay tayo sila. Di naman bumaba. Nasa tabi lang din namin sila.Ayaw nila kaming katabi. Naligo naman kami.
- Dallas, Texas. Nasa 5 Star Hotel kami. Nag-decide kami (4 kami, puro Pinoys) maligo sa swimming pool. Nakita namin merong mga bata (teens) at several adults on the pool. Mga 12 sila. Nag-shower kami, then sabay lusong sa pool. Akalain mong after a few minutes, nakatingin lang sila sa amin, then lahat sila nagsi-ahon. Kami lang natira sa pool.Last edited by chua_riwap; November 19th, 2007 at 09:34 PM.

regarding pool issue: i myself try not to use jacuzzi on spas unless there is no one in it and it seems clean, it happened more than once, i saw an indian sumberge into the jacuzzi, i beg off to take the plunge, dry sauna and steam is good enough.
i agree that the smell has something to do with what we eat and what our activities are, you cant smell your odor unless you really stinks, ive got a classmate who has a bad BO, i didnt bother to tell him because most of my friends had already told him that he smells really bad, and he is pinoy,so its not only if you are indian or russian or any nationality at all.
me being discriminated...i hardly felt it or havent felt it yet, when i go to other country, i try to blend in the crowd, though i dont try and speak with their english accent but i speak the english i am comfortable with=)

where i'm from, the Pinoys never really got along with the Armenians....there were always fights, bad blood, and just general intolerance. i have to say that many Pinoys i know in the States do provoke it by making generalizations about other races, and having preconceived notions about people because of their ethnicity (blacks and mexicans are "magulo", middle easterns are rude/disrespectful, indians are "mabaho", etc). but other cultures are the exact same way.
i also experienced racism when i lived in the Philippines - many Pinoys i knew discriminated against Indians, blacks, and people from the provinces...and there was a reverse racism/deference towards whites.

Doon sa "you speak english well" hehehe I take that as a compliment :D
:DLast edited by froshie1; November 20th, 2007 at 12:36 AM.

one time, my friends and I visited someone in Idaho. When we got there, we swung by a gas station to fill up. everything seemed to be going alright, but when we were about to leave the gas station, we were suddenly surrounded by police cars with lights and megaphones blaring. the cops frisked all four of us (all filipinos) and checked our car, but did not find anything. pag-alis nila, nag-apologize din, then told us that the store clerk called them, kasi suspicious looking daw kami. kami lang ata ang hindi puti sa town na yun...
unfortunately, racism is still prevalent, and it usually target the minority, in any country and society. it's a byproduct of fear and ignorance.
Naalala ko iyong 2013 SJ Forester ng relative namin. FMC change siya ng time na nakuha sa casa. ...
