OSCAR-nominated Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner was reportedly injured in a bar brawl involving a rotor axe, metal pipes, wooden clubs and a table leg in Phuket, Thailand, according to sources.
The fight left two men in serious condition, and led to the arrest of six others.
Reports say that Renner and a pal, Vorasit Issara, the manager of a Thai luxury resort, were bar hopping with four friends into the wee hours of the night in the beach town.
They ended up at the Rachada Pub at 3:30am local time, where Issara threw a glass and agitated the bar staff, according to the Phuket News.
Six men allegedly attacked Issara and several of Renner's friends. Reports say that 20 people were involved in the brawl.
According to the Thai newspaper, Issara was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition, after being hit in the neck with an axe and stabbed in the stomach. His chauffeur, Noppadon Preechawai, was also hospitalised after being cut in the face. He is in stable condition as well
Reports said that Renner's hand was injured in the ruckus and that he was treated at the hospital, but Renner's rep said he was not injured.
Renner's rep told the Post that the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actor was "not injured or involved" in the altercation, and that "he exited when the fight broke out." Renner is in Asia working on The Bourne Legacy in Manila, Philippines.
Six men have been arrested and will apparently be charged with attempted murder.
