Had the voting not been unanimous, then maybe some sourgraping is warranted; afaik all the judges voted for Pia. There's very little doubt as to who the winner was.

Technically hindi naman binawi yung decision -- *nagkamali* lang sa pag announce ng desisyon(now, if you believe there's some sort of conspiracy, then that's another story)

i read on Twitter that Ms. Colombia was tweeting something about the shortest reign as Ms. Universe. i do sympathize with her, and i do feel she was the more confident of the two(actually, way too much confidence bordering on arrogance), but really, she was never Ms Universe. Period.

That said, good poise on her part. i thought she was gonna go all Gloria on Steve Harvey :D

Dunno, i kinda expected more from Ms Universe candidates (who were not even remotely in the running). They could at least pretend to be good sports, then secretly hope the winner has a *** tape leaked out.

Nakakatawa yung mga ibang pinoy affected na affected pag may negative na comment kay Pia. BAWAL mag comment ng negative sa pinoy sa social media kasi dudumugin ka. It's a beauty pageant from crying out loud. It's not as if a Filipino discovered a cure for cancer.

Pia is HALF Filipina. The surname says it all! She is NOT a representative of Filipina beauty. Kung maka Filipina beauty naman yung iba And yes, I do agree, yung katawan niya hindi typical katawan ng Pinay, katawan yan ng German.

BTW I am curious, does the Ms Universe pageant have online voting? And does it have weight on the score of the winner? 90% of the time panalo pinoy basta may online voting. haha.

That's an interesting point actually. When we were fielding in "true blooded" Filipinas, di manalo nalo. Now we have a string of beauty pageant victories...from tisays. Am just sayin'...

^ Well, kwentong kutsero man si OB, I can vouch that many a beauty pageant winner eh not someone that we would have in mind. The TV personality is quite different in person. Wouldn't name names but meron talaga mukhang maitim ang kili-kili. Hehe. Also, tama rin na it takes a while bago ma-achieve ng mga aspirants na ito yung ideal pageant beauty. If you will search for earlier pics nung ibang winners, ibang-iba talaga.

Anyway, had a chance to see Pia together with a friend sa Starbucks with some of the other candidates in the most recent Ms. Philippines pageant. Si Pia talaga inabangan nya to have a picture with. Di ko tuloy alam kung siya ang swerte or si Pia ang maswerte sa kanya kasi nasungkit nya ang parehong korona (local and int'l.). Hehe. Well, di nga siya gaanong katangkaran, and a little on the morena side. Not sure though if it was due to those swimsuit photoshoots.
