your only practical solution is to trace the lineage of them pups.
the impractical solution is, maybe, DNA testing. and it'll probably cost more than the dogs' selling price.

mukha namang rott. may mga rott kasi na di naman snub nosed or "bully". depende sa lineage nila yan. pag may papers o pedigree most likely "pure" yan kung kilala mo yung breeder at yung mga breeder ng ninuno nila. pero ang pedigree nabibili na ngayon kaya ingat ka. daming dorobo dyan. silipin mo muna yung parents. kung makukuhaan mo ng pics post mo dito o sa ppf. member rin ako dun.

Kung ikaw ang nag breed at alam mo kung saan ang pinangalingan ng iyon Dam at yung sire pwede mo masabi na purebred but you have to consider these things.

1. to determine kung pure bred pwede pa DNA testing but this is an expensive alternative (as mentioned in the previous posts).

2. Both the parents (sire and Dam) should be registered with the local governing body such as the PCCI (Philippine Canine Club Inc) having their pedigree in hand you'll be able to know what lineage the dam and sire came from. They may be either European (vom hause Neubrand, Vom hause Radovic, Vom Eschenhagen, Chandlerhaus, vom Schlesigen, Vom der Stark, vom Wappen), or American line (Lakeview, von Evmans, prince haus) or if your sire and dam were coming from our local breeder such as Beracah of Baguio, and other breeders from Cebu, La Union and in Metro Manila like Allen Macasaet who are member of Philippine Rottweilers Club.

3. If the sire and dam comes from an unknown breeder and was registered with PCCI (just be careful pedigree can be bought from owner of dead rott), then you have to check the dogs standards (height, built, head size, cranium size). If it is a compact size but within the standard more often it is a German or European line kasi American line is somewhat bigger than its european cousins. The reason for you to check the standard is because maraming rott na nagkalat diyan na cross breed or talagang wala sa standard. Like rott na mukhang doberman na pinataba, mayroong mukhang greyhound dahil matulis yung nguso.

Anyway at that age (puppy is around 1-2 week old) di mo pa malalaman through the standard. You may be able to compare the dog with the standard of rott once they reach the age of 10 months, beacuse previous months ay nasa awkward stage pa sila (pangit pa tingan).

Ganoon muna gawin mo advice ni shak . Kasi depende rin sa iyo kung gusto mong i breed iyong rott mo . Iba kasi ang may papales mas mahal mong maibebenta at ganoon din gastos mo sa dog food.

Di ba sabi mo yung original owner sabi may papeles at di lang niya maasikaso. Kung mayroon man pwedeng-pwede. Or baka ginugudtaym ka lang ng owner'seller na may papel at di lang maasikaso. Pangalawa pwede mo isali sa show to prove the quality ng dog (additional points sa pedigree magkakaroon ng red marks, more redmarks the better).

In that case na walang papers yung sire and dam consider na lang siyang pet quality at pag i-breed mo lalabas lang siya na askal na may breed.

yup ganun na nga...pagkakaiba lang niya sa askal..ay rott siya sa tindig, laki, kulay, hitsura. Pero 'ika nga kahit ano pa man yan may papeles or wala basta resposible owner ka ng rott at mahal mo ang alaga mo go for it. Just don't forget to take care of the pups until maturity, like regular check up sa vet at yung medicine and vit. Monthly intake ng anti heartworm, at bago mo kukunin sa owner yung puppies make sure na 8 weeks old na para pwede na mag survive at yung kanyang injection na 5 in 1.

Paalala lang rott is a very lovable, loyal dog make sure to give the dog a good exercise di dapat lagi nasa kulungan. But in his early months with you (2-8) ingat sa tubig na pang-inom at wag masyadong ilabas pag tuta pa due to various diseases (especially parvovirus).

Another thing remember rott is a working dog kailangan ng regular exercise at make sure yung temperament ng pinagmulan (sire and dam) ay ok kasi namamana iyon ng tuta.

Lastly, the rott is not for everyone kaya pag-aralan mo yung breed characteristics since wala pa namnan siguro sa iyo at bata pa yung aso. As I said the rott is a lovable, loyal dog and a very protective to his pack (your family is considered as his pack and with a right training the dog will see you as the Alpha). at the same time a very aggressive when his domain is being intruded. You still have plenty of time to learn about the breed.

Tama sir Speed kasi yung aking unang rott Lakeview line ibinigay sa akin ng 18T and 2 kasi desperado yung may-ari na ma-ipa-adopt dahil lalagpas ng ng 8 weeks (malalakas na kumain). Then last year kumuha ako ng isa pa German line (George of haus von Neubrand - sire * Wona vom Montblanc) pag first pick nasa 25K 2nd pick 20K.
