Kung ikaw ang nag breed at alam mo kung saan ang pinangalingan ng iyon Dam at yung sire pwede mo masabi na purebred but you have to consider these things.

1. to determine kung pure bred pwede pa DNA testing but this is an expensive alternative (as mentioned in the previous posts).

2. Both the parents (sire and Dam) should be registered with the local governing body such as the PCCI (Philippine Canine Club Inc) having their pedigree in hand you'll be able to know what lineage the dam and sire came from. They may be either European (vom hause Neubrand, Vom hause Radovic, Vom Eschenhagen, Chandlerhaus, vom Schlesigen, Vom der Stark, vom Wappen), or American line (Lakeview, von Evmans, prince haus) or if your sire and dam were coming from our local breeder such as Beracah of Baguio, and other breeders from Cebu, La Union and in Metro Manila like Allen Macasaet who are member of Philippine Rottweilers Club.

3. If the sire and dam comes from an unknown breeder and was registered with PCCI (just be careful pedigree can be bought from owner of dead rott), then you have to check the dogs standards (height, built, head size, cranium size). If it is a compact size but within the standard more often it is a German or European line kasi American line is somewhat bigger than its european cousins. The reason for you to check the standard is because maraming rott na nagkalat diyan na cross breed or talagang wala sa standard. Like rott na mukhang doberman na pinataba, mayroong mukhang greyhound dahil matulis yung nguso.

Anyway at that age (puppy is around 1-2 week old) di mo pa malalaman through the standard. You may be able to compare the dog with the standard of rott once they reach the age of 10 months, beacuse previous months ay nasa awkward stage pa sila (pangit pa tingan).
