Exactly. I don't think the shooter was able to control himself. There was no legitimate threat to his life and yet he acted by killing two people.

I think both got out of control but the gun owner was not responsible enough to own his firearm. Buti sana kung bumaba siya't tinutukan lang for Canizares to get back into his car and drive off. But he actually shot him, and his female companion. Warning or not I don't think that was the right thing to do.

Based on the news gathered it is very premature to draw his gun and pull the trigger, no unlawful aggression and reasonable necessity to repel and prevent the bad mouthing of Canizares. There is no showing that Canizares is holding any deadly weapon. Maybe even tutukan lang will do no good "mahabla ka pa grave threat". I suggest keep your arms and use it responsibly, draw and fire it "only" in extreme conditions.

Tapos, wala ang mga g*g* at #$%^& mga pulis para mag-manage ng traffic kaya noong pabalik na kami, we cannot cross Sucat Rd. May detachment sila mismo sa kanto pero hindi mo sila makita sa kalye. Hindi naman umuulan. We have to wait for 20-30minutes dahil barado ang intersection. Mabuti na lang at may mga tambay na nakiusap sa mga drivers na umurong/umabante para kami makalusot. Sobrang nakakainis, dahil ang Westbound lane ay maluwag na maluwag ang kalye...

You're right, exposing the firearm is already a threat in itself. Maybe a verbal warning would have been better on the shooter's behalf to ward off Canizares and prevent any more confrontation.

I think here in the US there's a law that states that the ammunition of your firearm should be separate and difficult to access from the weapon. So the ammo stays in either trunk or cabin, with the gun concealed in the other compartment. It should be the same there. But then again enforcement is another matter.

Di ba ganyan din nangyari between Rolito Go and young La Sallian many years ago. Dahil sa traffic altercation, maagang natagpos ang buhay nu'ng bata, dahil sa "katapangan" ni Rolito Go. Until now ata, nasa Bilibid pa rin sya.

The victim was also a tsinoy Xavier Alumni. Natapat ni Rolito ng mas mayaman sa kanya. Hindi lang small fry. The wife of Rolito even went to the wake. She knelt and begged before the mother of the victim. No deal daw ang sagot.

Medyo butangero din ako pagdating sa disiplina sa daan during my younger years. Marami na akong nasapak na driver, all types, bus, taxi, private motorist, jeepney, tricycle pati nga pedicab. Nagmumura din ako tsaka dumuduro, sometimes 1 inch pa nga sa mukha. Pero never akong nanadyak ng sasakyan. When I think about it, nagtataka talaga ako na hindi pa ako nababaril. Masamang damo nga siguro ako, hehehe.

We really need incidents like these to remind us what road rage can do. Kawawa nga lang yung babae kasi wala namang kinalaman tapos binaril pa.

For hot-headed motorists like me, it really takes a lot of self-control para hindi magalit. My 1st instinct talaga is to lower my window and show the dirty finger to the other party. Pag nag-react, mura, sabay baba. Tapos maghahamon na. Ewan ko ba, pero I've toned down a lot since then.

I agree with you na sana hindi na lang dinamay yung babae. Tutal hindi naman nakatulong sa bumaril yung pagpatay nya sa babae that might serve as witness e, e ang daming nakakita sa kanya.

Sana binangga na lang nung bumaril yung cefiro, at least pera pera na lang usapan. Amanos pa sha sa pagkakasipa ng oto nya.

Cops Bag Suspect in Pasig Road Shooting

Police have arrested the suspect in the killing of two persons following a traffic altercation in Pasig City past 2 p.m. Tuesday, ABS-CBN News reported.

Senior Superintendent Francisco Uyami, city police chief, said lawyer Manuel Hernandez Jr. was arrested shortly after the incident at the entrance gate of Barangay San Antonio Village on Shaw Boulevard.

Uyami said the suspect was collared at his home. Police named Hernandez suspect in the fatal shooting of Egadrdo Canizares and Katherine Palmero. Witnesses told police that the incident took place around 2 p.m. when Canizares's Nissan Cefiro (XSA 205) nearly ran into Hernandez's Toyota car (UEP 547) that was about to leave the village near the corner of Shaw Boulevard.

Following the near-accident, Canizares alighted from his car and hurled invectives at Hernandez. The suspect initially ignored Canizares and drove on. Canizares, however, kicked the suspect's car and forced him to draw a pistol and open fire. Witnesses said after shooting Canizares four time, the suspect vented his ire on Palmero.

Authorities took the victims to The Medical City hospital. They died while undergoing treatment.

The assailant, meanwhile, escaped on board his car toward Pioneer Street.

I wonder how this guy can face his God. Imagine shooting the woman na walang kalaban laban. At sa likod for that matter. Geeze taga saan ba nag graduate itong hinayupak na lawyer na 'to???
