    At 2:00 p.m. today, Tropical Storm "KABAYAN" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 150 kms east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora. (16.8°N, 123.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 115 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 145 kph. It is forecast to move west southwest at 24 kph.


    Forecast:
    Northern and Central Luzon will experience stormy weather with rough seas while the rest of Eastern Luzon will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. The rest of Luzon will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

    Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Southern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds blowing from the west and southwest will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
