Ito ba yung San Juanico Bridge na nasa State of Calamity na ata -- sobrang tagal na pala (50+ old bridge) hindi na naman napaghandaan.
Or meron din plan pero delayed again.

Parang for infrastructure ata max na yung 50 years age for safety dapat 40 years palang start na ng implementation ng plan nila for alternative(s).

a lot still practice padugo, especially when building houses or buildings.

in some areas north, may ganyang ritual. like during my trekking days (late 90’s to early 2000), there were local mountain guides in ifugao and bontoc areas na nagpapadugo before a major or expedition climbs. Also in sagada, there are few guides who knows route interconnecting at least 6 caves. Their fee is reasonable pero minsan nagmamahal depending on what the chieftain ask for as padugo... if 2-3 chickens ok lang, pero kapag baboy or kalabaw natoka sa group nyo kailangan nyo bayadan yun. Hehehe! Well, it’s almost 2 decades ago... not sure kung ganun pa din until now.

May pinagawa akong instrumento from the Cordilleras. Gangsa.

something similar is mentioned in the Bible.
animal blood is painted on the doors of the dwellings of the egypt-enslaved People of God.
this was a sign to the Angel of Death to pass them over (the Passover!), during the 10th plague.

perhaps this is the origin of the practice...

in my family's instance, we placed coins on the floor near the front door entrance.

just make bantay while the cement is still soft, as some kids might come at night and dig them up.
