hehe MDAS followed some got 288 some got 2

but the mdas rule states that multiplication and division has equal precedence, and with equal operators you evaluate the expression from left to right ;)Originally Posted by ghost recon
Multiplication comes first before Division right ?
So you do it this way ...
48÷2(9+3)=?
=48÷2(12)
=48÷24
=2
Rather than doing it this way ...
48÷2(9+3)=?
=48÷2*12
=24*12
=288
....
it makes no difference kung x or parenthesis ang ginamit, both have same meaning which is times, ganun din sa divide, ÷ and / pareho lang yun. tama ang 288 na sagot. ganito dapat ang interpretation jan, 48÷2x(9+3), then apply the PEMDAS.
sagot ko din una 2 pero kinontra ako ng mga pamangkin ko, napagisip-isip ko na tama nga sila at ito yung explanation nila.![]()
kung walang rule, pwede yan sinasabi moin solving equation that parenthesis matters. kung walang computation sa loob ng parenthesis then it would be understood as plain multiplication.
"ganito dapat ang interpretation jan, 48÷2x(9+3), then apply the PEMDAS."
if you apply your PMDAS, the answer is 2
ang nagpapagulo lang naman dito sa equation na to e kung considered as one expression ba yung 2(9+3) o hindi sya one expression. kung may makakapag-provide ng rules/policy sa mathematics na considered na one expression sya then tama ang sagot na 2, kung walang policy na ganun then the answer should be 288.![]()
