If you don't mind me asking... How much ba ang running rate ng Oracle DBA sa Pinas? I just got an offer from my boss here in HK as we will be migrating to Oracle 11i.
Thanks!

IceColdBeer,
Depende rin kc talaga sa company eh. From the three companies I've been with ang layo ng agwat sa basic salary although yung ibang perks halos pareho. pinakamababa na cguro dito sa Pinas ang 30k (basic) for an Oracle DBA with 4+ plus years of experience (please correct me kung mababa pa). But if you are a lead DBA at may staff of DBA's ka 50k basic might be the average :D

OT
para kay ICB, anything not less than 150k/mo is not enough.
eh ang yaman na nyan eh..... question is, give me the name of the company who will pay 150k/mo for a DBA and lilipat ako dun. hehehehe.
pare, uwi ka na lang dito at magtayo ng sariling consulting firm on Oracle.... sososyo ako sa iyo. hehehehe. samahan pa natin ng linux.

February 22nd, 2005 03:00 PM #16take the exam, walang mawawala sa yo....um, well, maybe an afternoon's worth of time...
ang napapansin ko lang, kung maintenance or operational ung function -- not related to marketing or sales -- mas mababa ang ibibigay sa yo. The logic here is that you're not making money for the company. It may be a different story if you're into development. Pero since telco naman, tingin ko you can expect a little bit more than the industry standard.
btw, any certifications?
