SM Moa seaside on a weekend. Ano meron sa seaside bakit ganito karami tao? Reminds me of the escalator accident sa SM Sta Rosa. Imagine ganito karami tao then magka lindol, kahit walang bumabagsak, stampede lang marami masasaktan.

It is near Christmas and weekend so expect a lot of people. It is just a matter of time that the escalator will shutdown due to continously running at full load capacity.

Part ng bigger masterplan ng Vertis North (the whole CBD development not the Mall).

Then few seconds later the lady asked us "ano po ba orderin nyo?" at first I thought she would help the seller na wala pa. As it turns out sys yung seller.

This is the 2nd time this happened to us. 1st time burger store sa ibang food court naman, nung dumating yung seller he pretended na hindi sya yung seller and acted like just helping the seller na wala pa.

I'm wondering, are they pretending hindi sila yung seller dahil bawal ba sa kanila umalis sa pwesto? Both times we waited for few minutes.

Sa mga malls, kapag walang crew sa isang store/kiosk, may penalty.,may penalty din kapag sarado. Some malls "advise" their tenants (na mahina ang kita) na...in short, umalis.

Greenlanes Arcade will meet the wrecking ball soon. Bowling lane and the barber shop... and of course the Mister Donut shop.

Why are So Many People Mourning the Closure of This Donut Shop in Greenhills?

    Haven't been to Greenbelt lately...

    GOING, GOING...

Even the palm trees in Makati's Greenbelt pocket park will apparently have to go, ahead of the scheduled demolition of Greenbelt 1 and the newer Greenbelt 2 wing.
    (See first two photos.)

For those who may not have been to this side of Ayala Center in quite a while, GB2 is now all boarded up, as can be gleaned from the last photo.
Meanwhile, the remaining restaurants and stores in Greenbelt 1, the original Greenbelt that opened in 1982, have been given, if the chatter from the retail staff is correct, until March to wind down their operations before the wrecking crew finally comes in.

This is what I hate about PH. They keep on demolishing structures. GB2 is my favorite parking area pa naman and it doesnt look old and run down naman

I am sad about GB1 because that's my marker when I imagine the 80s Greenbelt I grew up with. Isn't that designed ng Leandro Locsin?

Chapel na lang hindi nila magalaw talaga.

    not defending anyone.

malls/buildings/businesses are made to a specific design that may no longer be applicable to today's standards/requirements.

yes... "pwede pa" but sometimes, its cheaper to demolish something and have it built, than to renovate.

new malls are more efficient and built better for the next 50 years

But GB2 was only built in early 2000s ata? My assumption is it's purely aesthetic and nothing to do with engineering/building specifications or requirements.

Anyway, I'm really sad about this when something from my youth is gone (building, food, entertainer, technology etc)

Theres nothing wrong with the building

They just want to build something bigger because they will also fill it with luxury stores like Greenbelt 4

Not TRAG. There’s literally townhouse/condo units atop GB2. Was wondering the same kung pano nila gigibain with people owning units there. Unless those are all rental units lang.

    in my opinion,
when they bring down old or not-yet-so-old structures, to be replaced by newer structures,
they already have made studies, projections and computations, on how the new structures will earn significantly more money, enough to justify the cost of destruction and construction.

Land is finite in Makati so they dont have a choice but to demolish older structures to build newer bigger ones if they want to expand. Not every historical structure needs to be saved.

They probably saw the demand and insane rental rates they got for Greenbelt 4 from luxury stores so theyre building or renovating for more tenants like those. What surprises me is they havent done anything like that in BGC. The stores in One BHS are not at the same level as Greenbelt 4.

If LVMH or SSI wants their stores to have large clear column spacing and high ceiling heights, they wont have a choice but to build a new mall. GB1 and GB2 are too old for any high end tenant. Luxury store tenants are incredibly choosy.

Im pretty sure we will see Ayala demolish High Street for high rises in this generation
