nah.kahit grad kapa sa top 5 school sa pinas kung ang kasabay mo na nag aaply e mas maexperience say fresh grad ka ng top 5 school and kasabay mo for interview 50yrs na sa open position dika padin papasa sa akin.though may pogi points din pag grad ka ng top 5 schools but not all the time.depende padin sa taong nag aaply at sa taong nag iinterview.

A lot of prospective employers are missing out on good people, since they fail to look beyond the school. Our current boss talks about his own frustration at not having passed the UPCAT, so he ended up graduating from an obscure university in Bicol. Pero naman, he went on to become an accomplished and respected advertising professional, at ngayon, VP na namin siya.

On my first job, I was accepted not because I was from UP (in fact, dalawa pa nga kaming taga-UP na nag-apply back then); I was accepted because part of my education was in a Catholic school. It was probably no surprise since the position was for an organization of Catholic educators.

Nung nag-apply na ako sa network, hindi naman ako natanggap agad, palagay ko kasi yung ibang applicants had more extensive, or relevant, experience than I did. Ngayon, looking back after 8 years, I'm still puzzled as to how exactly I ended up in my present job.

Para mapabilis ang aking trabaho at pagpili ko sa more than 100 resumes na ma received ko...sa School ako tumitingin syempre with experience.

Sir dapat sinabi mo I'm driving a better car than your boss (the interviewer's) hehehehe.

sorry but i've never been in a corporate setting. i'm just curious, who usually conducts the interviews? the management ba or the hrd people?

in my field kasi diplomas aren't of significance. experience pa rin ang hinahanap. which can sometimes be the chicken or the egg di ba. how can you get experience if you can't get hired coz of the lack of it.

i guess sa corporate setting di maiiwasan ang slight discrimination. parang toyota and honda yan e. people always see the brand and not the performance.

I second this reply. It probably just so happened na biased sila. Kahit sabihin nilang hindi biased, front lang yon para they would seem neutral pero behind closed doors ganyan ang ibang companies.
