I also used to buy Hush Puppies but not anymore because its cheaply made and quality is no longer that good. Sayang yung Mendrez.
IMO re branded rubber shoes, ang lam ko planta nila mismo yun and may QA talaga. Not an outsourced.

hahahahaaaha! sobrang nakakatawa yung kwento mo ha.
Hindi kaya fake na Norsafe yung kinuha ng procurement nyo? The reason why I like european products is because sobrang bihira sila mag-China lalo na ang Germany. Pag ang gamit or bagay, Made in Germany, at may dala akong pambili, usually bibilhin ko kahit di ko kailangan for some reason. hehe.

AFAIK, oo. May tag naman dun sa dila/inside wall ng shoes. Yung Adidas ko na Barricade na binile ko sa Adidas mismo, Made in China. Yung Air Huarache(?) ko, AFAIK Made in China din. Dati, yung mga nabibili ko na Asics eh made in Korea pero I think may Asics na made in China na din.

Saudi Arabia says finds toxic Chinese toothpaste
Reuters
RIYADH - Saudi Arabia has removed from shop shelves seven brands of Chinese toothpaste found to have a poisonous chemical in them, the government said on Thursday.
A statement on the Ministry of Trade and Industry's Web site said tests had shown traces of diethylene glycol, used in coolants and solvents but too toxic for food and medicine.
It said officials have been ordered to remove the toothpaste from shops and destroy the samples, and asked consumers to inform the ministry of any products found on sale.
All Chinese toothpastes must now undergo tests before going on the market in Saudi Arabia, which has a population of over 24 million, the statement said, adding the tests that uncovered the toothpaste were part of routine checks on food and medicine.
China has recently been criticized for safety lapses involving food, drugs and other exports ranging from toys to clothes to toothpaste.
Chinese officials say the vast majority of the country's exports meet standards and have pointed to quality problems in US exports.Wal-Mart: Melamine in dog treats

Di na ako bumibili ng China made goods as of now. Dito sa KSA, usually, either made in USA or Canada or Europe ang mga foods and supplies. Lately lang daw pumasok mga China.
Ang mura dito ng Giordano, 2000 pesos lang per jeans. Sana hindi made in China, may Formalin daw mga fabrics galing CHina accdg to European findings.
