in a radio interview this morning with the manager, if i understood it right,
the way it has always been since time immemorial,
major major prizes are claimed by the real winners in the main office daw.
minor prizes, especially from the farflung provinces, can be claimed from the local branch offices or outlets.
what the outlet operators do, is to accept the minor winners' tickets, and forward the claims for minor prizes, to the major office.
hence the same recurring names appearing 10 or 20 or more times, in the main office's listings. they're not the real winners, but only the middlemen employed in the claiming of the prizes for the real winners.

does that mean the main office does not know who the real winners of the lotto are?
since its all electronic they have record of the ticket. alam nila kung sino nanalo.
Why give the name of the middle men? ang tanga naman nila.![]()
I get what you’re saying, kasi like the case of my driver, he won like P100. But the ticket came from an old machine, di daw mavalidate ng new machines.
So he was told to claim it sa main office, sa Shaw yata yun, sabi nya di bale na lang daw, talo daw oras, from my house sa Alabang to Shaw.

maraming madugas talaga kahit saan!
There’s an episode of Believe It or Not that shows someone doing this in the US. They had to hire a lot of people and keep machines printing tickets 24/7. If I remember correctly, they weren’t able to finish all the combinations, so they didn’t win the grand prize, but they were able to break even and earn some money due to a lot of consolation prizes.
