    nakatulog kanina ako sa sofa habang nakaupo at pagtayo ko nong magising namanhid ang right leg ko kaya bumagsak ako sa floor at yong tagiliran ng paa ko ang nagland. sobrang sakit akala ko di ako makakatayo, ngayon namamaga pero na-iilakad naman. ano bang dapat kong gawin to avoid further damage, advisable bang hilutin o pabayaan na lang. thanks po.

    R - rest! try not to walk around much for now
    I - put ice on the outer part ng ankle, below the bony prominence
    C - wrap in towel para compressed and no swelling
    E - elevate to prevent pooling of blood and swelling too

    Massage mo after swelling has subsided. This will then allow blood to circulate and heal the injured ligament/s faster.

    do not attempt in going to hilot, be warned, it would only swell much bigger do RICE^^^

    i do the rice technique....madalas din ako ma sprain eh.

    especially the REST part...hihihihi

    P - protection and R - rest
    - avoid bearing weight on the affected foot as much as possible

    I - ice
    - 15 minutes at a time every couple of hours
    - use an ice pack
    - check the area every 5 minutes

    C - compression
    - use an elastic bandage if possible

    E - elevation
    - in supine position
    - place pillows under the achilles tendon
    - make sure the foot's above the level of the heart

    What a coincidence. Happened to me too, a couple of days ago.

    Rest lang talaga. You can take some mefenamic acid (like Ponstan) for the the pain.

    Sa akin noon, nabalian talaga ako (nag-crack) sa right foot ko. Nang makita ng doktor na hinihilot ng mother ko yung magang paa ko, nagalit yung doktor! Mga doktor pala di naniniwala sa hilot. Nilagyan ng cast yung paa ko, then pahinga lang, and let it heal.

    kuha ka ng bote, tapakan mo and let it roll.. apply some pressure once in awhile... baka kasi mabulok eh..

    If you can't put weight on it, better have it checked sa orthopedic might be serious.

    those medicine only relieves the pain... but the underlying cause is still there... and most probably the pain will eventually returns...

    its better to see a physician...

    iulit ko lang pinakaimportante pag nagpapahinga ka (i.e. sa gabi).

    diba ice for first 24 hours, tapos warm compress the rest? kung gusto mo maging sure, pa check mo na rin para sure na walang problema bukod sa sprain. tsikot.com ka muna habang pahinga

    Nasa UK ka naman Wouie, pumunta ka na lang sana sa A&E ng kahit anong NHS hospital para ma-check yan ng doctor ... "libre" naman lahat. Kung hindi lang sprain yan, bibigyan ka pa ng crutch, at therapy kung kailangan. Lahat ng ibibigay sa iyo matagal mo nang binabayaran, yung National Insurance (NI) tax.

    the best diyan ay pa Xray mo na at patingnan sa doctor...ASAP

    di mo kasi alam kung ugat na nalihis or may crack na pala ang bone mo

    sa Hilot kasi di nila alam dahil wala naman nakita sa Xray ,kundi sasabihin lang na "ayan pipihitin ko may tutunog ..ugat mo iyon nalihis lang"

    iyon pala buto mo na na may crack tapos lalo pipihitin pa ..arraayy ko po

    totoo ba to? kasi one time i spained my ankle. can't put my weight on it. for 3 days walang lakad. after 3 days konting weight lang. now nakakalakad na ako ulet pero it doesn't feel the same way na. pag iniikot ikot ko ung ankle laging may lagatok. sometimes biglang bumigay paa ko if my weight rests on a certain point of my foot, so parang bigla akong natutumba. i still play basketball never stopped.
