nakatulog kanina ako sa sofa habang nakaupo at pagtayo ko nong magising namanhid ang right leg ko kaya bumagsak ako sa floor at yong tagiliran ng paa ko ang nagland. sobrang sakit akala ko di ako makakatayo, ngayon namamaga pero na-iilakad naman. ano bang dapat kong gawin to avoid further damage, advisable bang hilutin o pabayaan na lang. thanks po.

R - rest! try not to walk around much for now
I - put ice on the outer part ng ankle, below the bony prominence
C - wrap in towel para compressed and no swelling
E - elevate to prevent pooling of blood and swelling too
Massage mo after swelling has subsided. This will then allow blood to circulate and heal the injured ligament/s faster.

do not attempt in going to hilot, be warned, it would only swell much bigger do RICE^^^

i do the rice technique....madalas din ako ma sprain eh.
especially the REST part...hihihihi

P - protection and R - rest
- avoid bearing weight on the affected foot as much as possible
I - ice
- 15 minutes at a time every couple of hours
- use an ice pack
- check the area every 5 minutes
C - compression
- use an elastic bandage if possible
E - elevation
- in supine position
- place pillows under the achilles tendon
- make sure the foot's above the level of the heart
