However, I am still keeping some new wave vinyl records with me.

Just want to know if somebody here in tsikot still collects/keeps vinyl records.

your dad's an audiophile. the best combination: vacuum tube amp and vinyl records, nothing can compare to the sounds. tsalap, tsalap

Vinyl records is still much better compared to the sound of those from the CDs.

Yup, we have tons of records here at home, including the 2 big albums of Spandau Ballet. Now if only may mahanap na parts for our Technics turntable.

Yeah, he is. He used to frequent the Audiophile shop in National BS sa Q. Ave. noon and brought me along nung bata pa ako (grabbing a sandwich sa Bread Connection to my delight).

I remember the first time I heard Pat Coil's "Steps" (Sheffield labs). Ang linaw!

Oo naman, he's here with us visiting. Uwi kami June 10th

I too have the CD version, even the other Pat Coil albums.

I remember minsan paulit ulit niya pinapakinggan yung mga favorite albums niya. Sila Janis Ian, Claire Marlo, etc hehe. Too many to remember! I recall he has this LP cleaner too na may vacuum/suction slit where he turns the record like a turn table pero the machine sucks the dirt (with matching cleaning agent, alcohol based ba yun?)...

Wow. Ok ah. KAla ko walang fanatics sa mga plaka. Isang gusto ko while playing vinyl records eh yung pag umiikot yung plaka especially pag picture disc sya. Hehe

sa stylus na gamit. shure is one of the best syempre. at kayang
timplahin thru pitch control ng tt. i left one technics turntable with me.

yung ibang new wave namin then ng barkada mga picture disk pa from uk.
like the care, madonna, real life, gene loves jezebel etc. at remember the
tears for fears version of everybody wants to run the world. not rule?

I had an Elvis Presley hard vinyl some years back. Binenta ko sa collector - nice and tidy sale. Pinanbile ko ng ng cellphone. Rare hard vinyl records still fectches princely sums from collectors. If you got Elvis Presley's first 33 LP (hard vinyl - yung pag binagsak eh basag), it can go on the collector market as much as 30K petot. Soft vinyl records (yung nababaluktot) fetch lower prices compared to hard vinyl.

Kapatid, I can relate he he he.

With technology now-a-days, software at computers na gumagwa. I remember dati, nilalagyan ng fwend kong may-ari nung mobile ng sort of wax paper in between the record and dun sa turntable para less friction pag nag-scratch sya.

we put several pieces of thin plastic sheets then felt paper on top of the
rubber for smoother and friction-less releases.
