    una ko siang makitang nag perform noong bata pa sya sa Dating Kampeon na ang host ay yung si late Robert "tawa" Marcelo.

    Bro, "Ang Bagong Kampeon" po yun. And yes, hosted by Bert Marcelo and Pilita Corrales. Dun sya nabinyagan ng Banig kasi raw during that time, nagwiwiwi pa raw sya sa banig.

    Bagong Kampeon was hosted by the late Bert "Tawa" Marcelo and Pilita Corrales. Mid-80's ata yn sa Channel 9.

    AFAIK, Banig Roberto beat Christina Aguilera in the Star Search finals, pero mas sikat ngayon si Aguilera.

    I remember seeing her at my lilttle brother's school back in '94 when she was promoting her first US CD (Can you Feel My Heart). I lost the cd but there's this one song that got listened to over and over by Filipino kids. Title of the song is "This Time It's Forever''.

    when I was in CA two yrs ago I remember she joined American idol, pero talo naman....naalala ko kasi inaabangan ng mga cousins ko doon

    but come to think of it I'm not really sure kung siya nga yun sumali...

    Compared to Banig, mas successful itong si Billy Crawford. Sikat (daw?) sa Europe, pero sa Pinas, di naman masyado. He-he!

    Pakalat-kalat lang ito sa show ni Kuya Germs noon (as a kid) yung "That's Ent." Ngayon eh "big time" na. Saw him in one GMA-7 show, last weekend.

    Yung sumali sa American Idol ay dati yata sa Smokey Mountain. Yung pumalit kay Geneva Cruz.
