Jim admits in an earlier interview (when he was set for Australia) that they plan to come back here in a number of years. Yup, it's more of taking a break than abandoning his country. He also said he won't stop his children from deciding to settle here in the future. He just wanted them to have an informed decision before choosing.

If I were given a chance to go to Australia and stay there, I'm not a fool to decline from such opportunity. I've been there twice and I have to say it's the kind of environment I want to live in. True, taxes are high, but never did I see slums, floods, off-road highways and some political jerks with police escorts shoving their way through traffic jams. Even garbage collectors get the chance to buy cars. Farmers earn big. Blue-collared workers don't have way less salary that white-collared ones. In other words, there's equity. And when one loses his or her job, the government will send allowances and even help in finding a new occupation. Every citizen matters to the government, unlike here.

ako naman ayaw ko sa Australia. that's the most boring country I've been to. when our family visited my aunt's family there for a month, sa sobrang bored ko, nagpaalam na ako sa dad ko on the 3rd week, at sumakay ako ng mag-isa sa eroplano pabalik ng Pilipinas. but that was Perth, the capital of western australia. dunno 'bout Sydney though.

sa celebs naman kasi hindi naman dahil mababa sweldo/talent fee nila, natatalo talaga sila ng mga batang celebs. that's the problem with show business, parang prostitution, pag damatans kana, d ka na sikat.

what can we expect? we are an over-populated country and half of the population wants to become a star. hehehe
