Tumpak yan, david! What was once the rising sun will eventually set. And what we are seeing now are just in-between events.
Japan's population growth rate started declining in 1975 and is hitting zero this year. That means that the actual population nosedive begins this year. Yup. What went up ... will go down.

Filipino OFWs who can afford to settle down in their host countries should do so. :naughty2: Guess why?

Dudes, pls check the source of cyberdoc95

    year 2005 pa yan.

Japan is not in recession now. Japan's economy has been expanding for months already. Bank of Japan plans to raise interest rates coz of too much investment.

still in recession. japan is on a long-term downtrend. nikkei is around 17,000, until hindi siya pumatong ng 40,000 level, hindi pa siya recovered. rally lang yan expansion

well, if u look at it that way, the Nikkei is still a long way off from its peak --- 39,000

but all time low is a little below 8,000.

Now is 17,000. Not impressive but sustained.

Funny thing about the japanese, they are very jumpy.

When they hear some bad news about their economy, they tighten their spending. That causes even more bad news for the economy. And they spend even less.

Buti pa ang mga pinoy... kahit ano bad news, tuloy tuloy parin ang shopping. tuloy tuloy parin ang pag gawa ng bata.

Yes, spend more money to stir-up the economy (OT: Reaganomics (less tax, people have more money to spend, right?)

Ya consumer spending is the lifeblood of the economy.

In the case of Japan, it's their consumers not spending that's stagnating their economy.

mga pinoy kapag nakarinig ng bad news. diretso mall for shopping para sumaya. tapos aakyat ang economy kapag nabalitan lalong gagastos.

This is what i admire about the pinoy spirit. Life goes on no matter what.

Or maybe most people here just read tabloids which contain totally no business news hehe

So even if there's bad news, nobody hears about it. Everyone's in the malls shopping anyway.

    ----------------------------------------------------

People in rich countries are scared to death of the expenses and responsibility of raising children. That's why they wont have children. Pero ang pinoy mas masaya pag masmadami anak.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Our economy is being powered by the spending of OFW dependents. Di sila mashado affected by local economic downturns. Tuloy tuloy kasi ang remittances. And even if their budgets shrink coz of stronger peso or inflation, they simply ask the OFWs to send more money.

sayang yun japan, there was a point in time na kng titignan nyo halos lahat ng gamit natin (appliances, electronics, cars etc.) lahat may label "Made in Japan" ---ngayon konti nlng. japan designed ang tatak
Kaya nga ngayon Majority puro CHINA made ang brands
Dami kasi Tao doon at mababa pa ang pasahod sa mga empleyado.
afaik' China ang susunod sa japan pagdating sa economic growth...
