Iso hunt, a popular website offering Bit tor rents of mostly pirated material, is to shut down following a court settlement.

The site's owner, Canadian Gary Fung, has agreed to pay $110m (£68m) to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Area jurisdiction. And besides, they aren't really doing "well" if you're referring to the owners. Might as well go check AFK TPB movie documentary.

more like hurray for people who refuse to adapt p2p sharing.

Some people get it though. And yes, Youtube is considered "piracy"

    Abstract

Whether or not illegal copies circulating on the internet reduce the sales of legal products has been a hot issue in the entertainment industries. Though much empirical research has been conducted on the music industry, research on the movie industry has been very limited. This paper examines the effects of the movie sharing site Youtube and file sharing program Winny on DVD sales and rentals of Japanese TV animation programs. Estimated equations of 105 anime episodes show that (1) Youtube viewing does not negatively affect DVD rentals, and it appears to help raise DVD sales; and (2) although Winny file sharing negatively affects DVD rentals, it does not affect DVD sales. Youtube’s effect of boosting DVD sales can be seen after the TV's broadcasting of the series has concluded, which suggests that not just a few people learned about the program via a Youtube viewing. In other words YouTube can be interpreted as a promotion tool for DVD sales.

Global Internet piracy actually helps spread the word about original programming like HBO’s “Game of Thrones” — ultimately leading to more paying subscribers for the premium cabler, according to Time Warner Inc. topper Jeff Bewkes.

Studies have shown the “Game of Thrones” is among the most-pirated TV show around the world. In the final analysis “that’s better than an Emmy,” Bewkes said, speaking on the media conglom’s second-quarter earnings call. His comment may have been somewhat tongue-in-cheek but Bewkes’ point was that buzz is good for the HBO brand.
